Hope For Ukraine
Hope for Ukraine
Mixed media on 300gsm paper
Size: 17x17 inches
Unbeknownst to many, sunflower roots have the ability to absorb radiation and other toxic metals. For me, this beautiful sunflower bouquet represents HOPE for Ukraine in this terrible time of war. The seeds drawn in the background represent NEW BEGINNINGS for the future as the sunflowers continue to multiply and grow. On a more personal note, the red rectangle in the bottom left hand corner is from my three year old son who has enjoyed learning to cut and color. I took this piece from his practice and collaged it in as a symbol for the future generations and to represent the INNOCENCE of the Ukrainian victims of war. 25% of the proceeds will be donated directly to the International Rescue Committee to aid the one million refugees who have been forced to flee the Ukraine.
Also available as a print to benefit Ukrainian refugees.
